One If By Land! Two If By Sea!

(Part One of Islam Series)

It was just after dawn in Memphis when the first bomb hit New York City, and as usual, I was writing advertising copy. But not for long. Sports cars and sunny beaches suddenly seemed irrelevant, compared to the sea of destruction and utter devastation coming out of New York television newscasts.

Even the Golf Channel was broadcasting war news. It was the worst disaster in the history of the United States, including Pearl Harbor, the San Francisco earthquake, and probably the battle of Antietam in 1862, when 23,000 American soldiers were slaughtered in one day.

The battle of the World Trade Center lasted about 99 minutes and cost 3,000 lives within the span of two hours - anything that kills a legion of trained firefighters in two hours is a first class disaster.

And it wasn’t even Bombs that caused this massive damage. No nuclear missiles were launched from any foreign soil, no enemy bombers flew over New York, Pennsylvania or Washington to rain death on innocent Americans. No. It was four commercial jetliners.

They were the first flights of the day from American and United Airlines, piloted by skilled and loyal U.S. citizens, and there was nothing suspicious about them when they took off from Newark, Logan, and Dulles on routine, cross-country flights to the West Coast with fully loaded fuel tanks, which would soon explode on impact and utterly destroy the world famous Twin Towers of downtown Manhattan’s World Trade Center. Boom! Boom! Just like that.

The towers are gone now, reduced to bloody rubble, along with all hopes for Peace in Our Time, in the U.S. or any other country. Make no mistake about it: we are At War now - with somebody - and we will stay At War with this strange and mysterious Enemy for the rest of our lives . . . unless they are stopped.

But who is this unconventional Enemy? This eccentric, mystifying movement working inside America today? Its name is Islam and its objective is to convert the world’s peoples into Muslims and transform the United States into an Islamic nation.

Islam’s goal is not terrorism. Their ultimate goal is to establish a global Islamic state over the entire world. If they can accomplish this in a peaceful manner, that’s fine. But they are decreed by a holy punitive Code to establish this global Islamic state on the rubble of every civilization, every constitution, every government, every religion, every people, who oppose them and their Prophet.

Imam Siraj Wahhaj (born Jeffrey Kearse, in Brooklyn, New York) - the first imam (Muslim clergy) to offer a Muslim prayer in the U.S. House of Representatives - believes that if Muslims unite, they could elect their own leader as president, “Take my word,” he stated, “if 6 to 8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”

Ahmad Nawfal, a well-known Jordanian speaker, says that if fundamentalist Muslims stand up, “it will be very easy for us to preside over this world once again.”

At a Muslim convention held in San Jose, just one month after the atrocities of Sept. 11, 2001, one of the delegates declared: “By the year 2020, we should have an American Muslim president of the United States.”

Americans need to wake up to the fact that all religions are not alike. America was founded on Christianity. That’s all well and good. But Christianity, as it happens, is the only religion built around, and because of God’s love. “God so loved the world, that He gave . . . “ (John 3:16) and following.

Islam is a religion built on forced conversion and conquest. Islam is a religion of the sword. Islam does not put a value on love or forgiveness. The Shi’ia have still not forgiven the Sunni for the death of Hussein at the Battle of Karbala in 680 A.D.

The teachings of Islam are not some hale and hearty, feel-good guidelines thought up by a few desert-dwelling nomads. They are binding laws with severe punishments attached - from public floggings to chopping off of body parts and on through to executions by beheading. Islam is far more than a religion; it is a comprehensive way of life. The Qur’an and the Hadith (Mohammed’s sayings), Islam’s holy books, contain the religious, social, civil, commercial, military, and legal codes to which Muslims must conform.

Islam dictates whom one should worship, how to dress, what to eat, how to answer the call of nature, how to invest money, how to have sex, when to beat one’s wife, when one must kill, and the cause for which one should die.

Islam claims well over a billion followers worldwide, whose holy Warriors chase their enemies like a pack of vicious stray dogs - trying to kill you, but you don’t know why. This iron-fisted faith has invaded America’s shores, protected by our freedom of religion, and is fanning out like a veiled 7^th Century plague. Islam has taken advantage of the fact that the American majority knows very little of Islamic language and history. The most alarming fact about Islam is that if it is allowed to become powerful enough, “We the People” will lose our choice to either accept it or reject it. The only options left will be either to bow the knee to Allah or suffer butchery by the judicial authority of a sword.
